For those of you who haven't heard of the internet, there's a great thing called a "Hitler rant parody" that has exploded on the internet ever since someone decided to take a dramatic scene from the German film Downfall and replace the subtitles with whatever nonsense would be funny coming out of Hitler's mouth. If I'm not mistaken, the first person to do this had Hitler ranting to his inner circle about getting banned from X-Box Live. Since then, someone, somewhere has created a Hitler rant for just about everything you can think of. Some classics are:
Hitler rants about Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.
Hitler rants about the iPad's lack of multitasking.
Hitler rants about not being able to get Miley Cyrus tickets.
Hitler rants about Conan O'Brien replacing Jay Leno.
Hitler rants about Jay Leno replacing Conan O'Brien.
Hitler rants about the vuvuzelas ruining the World Cup.
Hitler phones an Indian call center about his modem.
Hitler rants about the Hitler rant videos.
Now people are even splicing together Downfall clips with those from other movies and even video games. The other day I watched Hitler pilot the Starship Enterprise in a showdown against Kahn, and another one where he plots with Seth against Kane from the classic '90s strategy game Command & Conquer.
Some of them have some scattered expletives so be forewarned. But holy cow, there are so many about so many things and it's not hard for me to find one that has me laughing myself into a fit. Take, for example, Exhibit A below: Hitler's Pencil of Doom - Part II (which conveniently has no expletives, just lots of people falling down)...
